Bancroft, McGavin wins 1st place in the 3rd annual Stitt Cup Volleyball Tournament sponsored by the Fairfax Bar Association.

The Stitt Cup is in honor of the late Honorable David J. Stitt, Fairfax Circuit Court.

The team consisted of attorneys from the firm to include Wes Allen, Melissa Katz, Dana Lammers, and Kim Kakalec.  Guest players included Charles Lammers, Jeff Hillard, and Kelly and Josh Price.

BMHJ won first place in the small firm category in the American Heart Association Lawyers Have a Heart 10K race in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, June 12, 2010.   Runners included Melissa H. Katz of the firm and her fellow cross-fitters, Katie Sheedy, Devin Carr, Erin Owen, Cindy Revesman, Lori Samolyk, and Linda and Tom Foley.  This is the third year TBMHJ has come in first place.

VIRGINIA ASSOCIATION OF DEFENSE ATTORNEYS (VADA) ANNUAL TRIAL TACTICS 2010 WORKSHOP BIG SUCCESS.

On Saturday, March 13, 2010, Melissa H. Katz, member of the firm, participated in the VADA Trial Tactics Workshop by coaching two attorneys recently admitted to the bar in order for them to perform in a mock trial at the University of Richmond Law School.  The mock trial involved the insurer's denial of coverage under a homeowner's policy for fire because of alleged arson.   Wesley D. Allen and Alexander Conn, associates of Trichilo, also successfully participated in the mock trial.

HEATHER K. BARDOT NEW VIRGINIA STATE REPRESENTATIVE TO DEFENSE RESEARCH INSTITUTE.

At its annual meeting in October, 2009, the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys (VADA) appointed Heather K. Bardot to serve as Virginia's State and Local Defense Organization (SLDO) representative to DRI. DRI is an international organization of attorneys dedicated to the defense of civil litigation, education of its members and the judiciary, and preservation of the civil jury system. Ms. Bardot will serve a two-year term from 2010-2012.
